Maria Castro Dominguez was born and raised in London. She lives presently in The Canary Islands where she teaches, translates and proof-reads. She holds a Bachelor´s degree in English philology. Her love of poetry has been a constant throughout her life. She aims to transform the familiar into the new through her poetry. Her poetic influences have been The Imagist poets, Les Murray, Tomas Tranströmer, Pablo Neruda and many more.
She has a book of poetry titled A Cuatro Manos (Four Hands) with Jacobo Valcárcel. Some of the poems within this collection have been translated and rewritten from this book.
